Children's Book Author

Patty has wanted to write books for children since she was 10 years old. As a freelance writer who is published in several magazines, she holds a Master's degree in Children's Writing from Emerson College and is a member of SCBWI. She won a Brant Point Literary Prize for one of her picture books, ESTHER'S NOT-SO-GRAY DAY, and was selected as a 2016 Pitch Wars mentee for one of her middle grade novels, THE SECRET OF SAGAMORE HILL. As a writer of children’s books, she continues to read, attend classes and conferences, critique manuscripts, and most importantly, write. Originally from Long Island, New York, she now lives in Wellesley, Massachusetts with her husband and two daughters. Apart from writing, she loves camping, show tunes, history and thunderstorms—but not at the same time.
